More so today than ever before, continued learning and professional growth are important for one to succeed. From its early days, PsychSolutions supports our employees’ desire to become licensed clinicians by providing free supervision as a benefit of employment. For those employees who have sought to earn a degree, whether a Bachelor, Master or Doctorate, support is provided through flexible work hour schedules. With the implementation of the Licensure/Education Benefit Program, we are taking a step further in our support of continued learning and professional growth by recognizing our employees’ individual commitment and rewarding their successful effort toward licensure and academic advancement.
Therapists who demonstrate consistency and excel in their job performance in all areas, including clinical service delivery, documentation quality with meeting deadlines, punctuality, attendance, as well as participation in clinical supervision, ongoing trainings and in-services are given an opportunity to advance their career by assuming the leadership position. With their thorough knowledge of agency operations and capacity to train others, Team Leaders mentor and provide ongoing support to therapists in order to maximize productivity and efficiency, foster link between mental health staff and agency departments and reduce learning curve of new employees.
Most of our therapists are also registered interns and on their way to become licensed clinicians in the state of Florida. As a form of support, we conduct weekly study groups to help our interns prepare for their licensure examination, including providing them with the study materials. Our study group activities include reviewing old exam questions, taking various practice tests, as well as the group takes a mock examination that it is a simulation of the official examination (e.g. timing the test and using the exact software with recycled questions from previous exams).
